NEW ERA VINEYARDS

New Era Vineyards is a premium cool climate wine growing vineyard located in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, 30 kilometres east of Adelaide, South Australia. Owned by the Baxter family, New Era was one of the earlier vineyards established in the premium cool climate Adelaide Hills in 1988 and possesses a location that takes full advantage of its northerly facing aspect. This family run vineyard and winery operations produces a limited number of small batch wines each year. The fruit for these wines is hand selected in the vineyard and then crafted into distinctive wines by father and son combination, Bob and Iain Baxter. Bob, whose passion and ambition after working for 25 years with Lindemans, Penfolds and Southcorp was to produce his own wines that display unique, individually distinctive characteristics whilst delivering exceptional quality and value. Iain, under his father guidance has seen an opportunity to diversify the varieties grown and produced at New Era vineyards with a focus on lesser known old world varieties such as Sangiovese, Montepulciano and Touriga.
